Each week we do a training session with our agency. This past week, these two questions really stuck with me. The answers are so basic, but so true.
1: What is the primary task of a baby?
--To develop a sense of trust in the world
2: What is the foundation of your child's sense of trust?
---Forming an attachment to their caretakers (parents). How to do this: provide a consistenst nurturing and tension free environment.
"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me" Matthew 18:5

THE REED FAMILY JOURNEY THROUGH ADOPTION
This blog is our way of communicating God's blessings with you throughout our adoption process. We can honestly say God has led us in this direction and we have never been more sure of anything. Of course we are scared, worried, anxious, and many other emotions. But, we do know that God's hand is in this!
You will find updates on our adoption process as well as the Reed's day to day activities. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as adoption is a long but rewarding process. God bless!

Father's Day
Today we are thankful for our Father's. My dad is in Georgia and is one of the most wonderful men in the world. He has been such a great rold model throughout my life.
Joey is getting to spend the day with his boys which is always a treat. The Reed's will be headed to church and then to the pool. Joey cooked a Boston Butt on the grill for lunch today. I even made a caramel pie (Joey's favorite). Hopefully, I didn't mess it up this time.
Such a great day all around, there is just one thing missing. It will be so exciting when we have a baby to celebrate Father's Day with. Just think, it may be this time next year. I doubt it would be that quick but who knows. All you fathers have a great day!
